After the initial deployment of your SQL Database, you will probably continue to make changes to your Website and Database. When it is time to update the Database on the server, you have several options:
- Use the SQL Web Admin to modify Schema
- Generate CREATE, ALTER or DROP script using SQL Management Studio on the local development database and execute the script using the Query Tool on SQL Web Admin
- If you are good in T-SQL DDL (Data Definition Language), type in the change script directly in the Query Tool on the SQL Web Admin
The SQL Web Admin's Table Column options does not include new SQL 2008 data types like xml, so if your tables are making use of these newer Data Types, your best option is to create a script on the local machine using SQL Management Studio and execute it on the Server using the Query Tool in SQL Web Admin.
